Install
Installing the Dive Assistant is very simple. Once you have downloaded DiveAssistantDesktop.exe from our website run the executable. This will start up WinZip Self Extractor. Select the folder you would like to extract the installation files to and click Unzip. The extractor will unzip the installation files into the folder you have specified

Navigate to the folder where the files have been extracted and run the "Setup.exe". This will start up the installation program. Follow the instructions throughout the install process to make sure that it is configured how you want it. The installation program will install the main application on your desktop PC, as well as the components and documents required to run it. 

Dive Assistant - Desktop Edition is based in Microsoft's .NET architecture. It requires .NET Framework 4.0 to be installed. When you try to install the Desktop Edition the install process will automatically try to download and install the .NET runtime for you if it is not already installed.

Upgrade
To upgrade to Dive Assistant - Desktop Edition you must first uninstall you existing copy of the Desktop Edition. If you want to keep your existing data make a copy of the data.mdb and tables.mdb files and store them in a safe place. These files can be found in the Data folder in the application's installation folder..

Once the old version has been uninstalled install Microsoft's .Net Framework 2.0. Run the install process and copy the data file into the data folder.
